Looking for ANY care info on oak toads (bufo quercicus),I would love to have a pair of these guys but can't find any info or locate any for sale.Thanks for any help.

How to get your wife to like toads; 1.Get a male toad. 2.Get him to hug your wifes wrist (amplexus). 3. Tickle him so he chirps in protest. 4.Say "Awww, he likes you". Note; Make sure he pees first or you may receive bodily harm during this procedure.

Exotic gems has them also. I've kept these toads before. I've had a hard time finding any care sheets for them. As you probably know, they are diurnal, so they can tolerate temps a little higher than other toads. I experimented with mine to see at what temps they were most active. They seem to prefer daytime temps a little higher than am's (upper 70's ?) maybe even well into the 80's. They seem to prefer sandy soil as a substrate, and a shallow water dish. I kept mine in a 20 gallon aquarium that they were lost in (Some times I had a hard time finding them). This allowed for a more extreme temp variation from one end of the tank to the other. They tended to stay neerer to the warm end most of the time. It's great fun to watch these little guys hunt. They remain active nearly all day, hunting and generally rutting about. Their mating call sounds just like a chick chirping for it's mother, one or two calling is kind of cute, several calling is almost like nails on a chalkboard after a while.
