8 eggs, 2 went bad, this is the first snake to pip... literally two hours ago. mom is below, the other 4 shots are all the same snake / offspring. the dam was sold to me from an individual that purchased her and he believed her to be a stonewash x super. whatever she is, she's a very nice adult pastel.

to get this clutch i ran through her enclosure her pastel son, 2 different calicos, an enchi and an eight ball.

she looks to me to be a super pastel calico, but mom is not a super so this is not possible. it is possible the pastel son is a very low white calico as calico was run through his clutch... but if he is, he's hiding it very well - but that calico was a super low white sire. so maybe this is a pastel super calico? is it possible that this is just a really nice pastel calico? it just looks like more is going on.

i'll post picks of clutchmates after they pip and this guy after he sheds.

thanks for any and all opinions. -paul

ignore the pastel super calico bit, i do realize that makes no logistical sense.

the more i look at this, the more i see just nice pastel calico, probably nothing more... alright... i'm done mucking up this post, opinions welcome, thanks.

Just a pastel calico. They vary a lot as hatchlings. I've hatched ones that were pink as hatchlings but colored up to look like other pastel Calicos. Although they are EXTREMELY blushed out animals.

yeah, it's very possible that i'm just getting excited as my flora fauna calico finally did something. i was working with a different calico line for a few years that did not give that washed out water color effect, so though i may have had one or two pastel calicos last year, it was so subtle i couldn't call it.

btw in my hast i specified that the seller believed her to be a stonewash x super. i meant to write stonewash x special. who knows. but i know my flora fauna calico is not a stellar specimen and i'd never have suspected his genetics are carrying this much power. i see everyone saying low whites (calico or pied) can create high whites... i've always thought that to be marketing hooplah and parroting what others say, as my results have always born out that low white creates low white.

pastel calico for sure, you gotta love what the FF calico line does in combo.
