Any thoughts?

Here is the deal, in 2010 I bred a Super Pastel male and a Lesser male, to a Pinstripe female.

She dropped 8 eggs, and in the clutch hatched out some Lessers, Normals, a KingPin, a LemonBlast, and this boy. Which at the time I was told and didn't think much of it, "Pastel Lesser". I know, not...

Lately I have seen a few pictures and videos floating around of others that resemble this boy, and I'm wondering what is going on with him, is there more to him? Any thoughts?

I'd say just a nice lesser, plain and simple. I've hatched out some real similar to that the past couple of years. The benefits of selective breeding!

Do you remember where the lesser male you used to produce it came from? I have been producing some that look like yours from a dinker project I have been working on. Here is a pic of one of my adult females

The male Lesser came from Claude Yokum.

What do they siblings look like? Could be a Lesser Harlequin. Typically heterozygous forms aren't very visual, so more than likely just a recessive form of a harlequin. I have a few I'm playing with here. They do some cool stuff, some better than others. Many imports I'm working with as well, as I've recently discovered some markers of ones that seem to be genetic. I'd see if you can duplicate the look with other mutations as well, could be neat! Good luck!

Sibs didn't look much like anything special, this boy just stood out. Not like any Lesser I have hatched or seen, I'll be breeding him to a few girls next year, so we'll see what pops up.

Thanks
