I've had a new baby gecko for about 3 weeks or so... I've been feeding him meal worms.. and believe to have a proper environment for him. However, it is petrified of me, won't let me touch or pick it up, and it just hides in it's humidhide all the time when i'm around. Today after I fed it, I went to pet it and it freaked and hissed at me. Now when I come close to it, it looks like it's going to attack me. What should I do?

Babies are like that...just keep trying and eventually it should get used to you.
Good luck.

I tried to pick up a baby blizzard and it hissed and bit me 3 times. And then I have picked up a baby leucistic and it was fine. Every gecko is different. The majority of the babies are just very skittish...with normal handling they will come around and you should be able to hold her with no problem. There are some geckos that are aggressive their hole life though. Most are not, and I'm sure if you keep trying it will come around.

that hes nervous about moving, but most likely the case hes just being a typical baby They're like that, but with patience he should come around. They're much calmer as adults, so dont worry about it as long as everything in his encloser is proper. If you have any questions at all, just ask and we'll be glad to help you. Good luck,

Like everyone else has said, the babies are just like that. I bought a young albino a couple of months ago, and she hissed and struck at me for several weeks. She was so grumpy that she ended up being named "Pissy". I just made a point of handling her a tiny bit each day, and now she is pretty easy to deal with.
