I just hatched out my first clutch of Mojave to Yellowbelly babies. Out of a three egg clutch, two babies are out - a male and a female- and look to be Mojave. The last one in the egg still is either a normal or Yellowbelly. The male that is out looks very different from the female now that i have them cleaned off and in good light. I have not been able to find very many pictures on the interwebs of Mojave/Yellowbellies, and the ones i have found are usually not of new hatchlings. I didn't think he looked quite bright enough or faded to be a Mojave/YB, but then again this is my first time trying to identify one. I was wondering if anyone had any input for me. He is still an awesome looking Mojave either way IMO! In the pics of both snakes below, he is the one on the left with a more reduced pattern.
