baby won't eat!

frances Oct 06, 2003 09:24 AM

My 5 week old sinaloan refused his pinkie last night. He has eaten 2 f/t (and grown about an inch) since I got him 3 weeks ago and the dealer fed him one live after his first shed, all without difficulty. He ate last 5 days ago. When should I start to worry and what can I do to encourage him to eat?

No, it's not even close to time to start worrying yet. The most likely thing is that he's going into shed again.

I thought of that, but I've handled him every day since I got him and have never noticed his eyes going milky. Should I try him again today with a pinkie or give it another day or two?

Give him a few days. A lot of times, they know they are going into shed before they turn "opaque" and will refuse food for a few days before.
