All your work throughout the years is paying off. Its been paying off. I can't pick which is better, its a toss up between this and the purple ones at BHB. Both are top of the line captive bred morphs.

Yes, their genetics.....and their paren'ts genetics.....and their grandparent's genetics.

Now to make plans for next year's pairings......some new breeders for 2013.

Can't wait to see what Cali kings emerge for you next year Kerby.
Any new possible combinations in the works?

Well, I do not believe there are any cal kings out there that are 100% quad hets. So I might make some of those.

I might breed a Blizzard (Albino & Hypermelanistic) to a Coral Ghost (Ghost & Hypo) thus producing babies that are 100% quad het for Albino, Hypermelanistic, Ghost, and Hypo.

Cal kings I have that are displaying 2 recessive genes at one time are:

Blizzard (Albino & Hypermelanistic)
Purple Passion (Lavender & Hypermelanistic)
Coral Ghost (Ghost & Hypo)
Casper Ghost (Ghost & Albino)
Pink Pearl Ghost (Ghost & Lavender)

I do not have the appropriate numbers of males and females and ages to produce quad hets with every combo yet.....but soon.

I think the 100% quad het babies would be a must have for anyone breeding california kings. Those offspring could produce a Hypermelanistic Ghost. I guess a Hypermel Ghost would be darker than the "dark ghosts" you've produced already. I wonder what the pattern would look like? Because it seems that Palomar ghost pattern is pretty overbearing.

Then you got to breed a quad het to something that is homozygous lavender to make offspring carrying all 5 genes......

Interesting stuff on the California horizon.....LOL

**Then you got to breed a quad het to something that is homozygous lavender to make offspring carrying all 5 genes**

Well that would make the babies het for lavender and possible het for the other 4 genes.......

Yep...you're right...you would need a quad homozygote bred to a visual lavender.....when you gonna have those?.......lol
