Mystic vs Mojave

mds4z Sep 20, 2012 10:32 PM

How do you tell the difference between a mystic and mojave. Some mojaves are very dark, seem to look very close to a mystic. In a clutch from a mystic to mojave breeding, I would think its difficult to tell which is which? I breed a normal female with a mystic and a mojave. I believe this is a mojave male?

Thanks
Mike

Mojo for sure
The biggest difference that I have noticed is the neck of the alien heads....by that I mean the bottom part where it meets the belly...

Mojo...fades to different color usually white comes into play...

Mystic...same color through out the hole alien head...cream or tan but no fading when it thins out towards the belly.

Hope that helps....
I can send pics if you would like

I just took a look at some of my mystics and mine do fade out to white at the bottom of their A heads...

I am not talking about under the mask of the alien head...I am talking about the mask itself.

That is the reason I am not breeding for mystic potions... I would rather take a little longer and make super mystic crosses...

The belly is usually a giveaway. mojave always has a pure white belly. mystics and phantoms almost always have some dirty little markings on the belly, particularly in the tail area. they also tend to be a lot browner.

Side by side pics would help a lot...
