Well it really depends on your snake but I made climbs for all my bp and they love them. You won't see them using it during the day but sometimes at night I see them wandering around their cage and climbing on everything. One of my bp climbs on the inside part of a lock I have there. Its only 1/2" long but she still manages to get up there. I would say a small climb would be beneficial for your snake.

JMHO, FWIW, YMMV.

My ball spends MOST of her time "in the air". Hides during the day, climbs at night! Most info will say not to bother with climbing branches and such because balls are primarily ground-dwelling, but I completely disagree! All balls are different of course, but if you place branches/platforms in the enclosure, they will probably be utilized, at least to some degree. Besides, it gives them exercise, and something do!! Make sure you have an escape-proof top!!

Someone needs to tell my BP it's not arboreal!!
Mine climb quite a bit-I have one photo I'll have to find of my female doing a near flawless Green Tree python imitation.
my BP loves to climb on the tree branch I put it its cage. Climbs all over it all day and night, and loves to lay out on the branches and hang out for hours.
