Lighting question

Hefe Oct 06, 2003 10:40 AM

So I have 2 choices for UVA/UVB lighting? I can use the zoomed reptisun 5.0 flourcent tube or I could have bought a mercury bulb and not have wired a flurecent fixture? Gah!! Do the mercury bulbs give both UVA and UVb? Thanks for any replies!

yup. mvbs provide everything tubes do, just in greater strengths.

Along with that most of the mvb's also throw more heat and so they may need to be further up/away from the basking spot and/or better ventilation provided to keep ambient temps down.
