2012 Funky Stuart's ...

flintdiver Sep 27, 2012 09:59 AM

Hatched this cool little stuarti about a month ago. The black on the posterior third of the snake and dots and dashes are pretty neat ! Plus a bonus pic of a nice 2012 Kooji hypo tri hondo.

That is fairly cool... I have a weakness for dotted or dashed snakes that should be ringed... probably never have one unless it's perfectly dotted/dashed from stem to stern, but...

Still pretty cool... you keeping it as a hold back?

Gerry, I am keeping one milk out of everything that hatched this year, that Kooji hypo. So no, I am not keeping it, matter of fact I am selling off most of my adult locale (S. and Central American)milk collection. At least thats what I keep telling myself...LOL

Bummer that you're planning/thinking of selling your S and CA milks... always liked seeing your posts since you are one of the few fans of "real deal" south of the border milks that does post here...

If I may be so bold... what is driving this planned sell off?

Gerry, I will likely regret it, but it takes alot of time as you know. Hatching season is tough with already lots of mouths to feed. I plan on keeping my hypo red milks, Kooji line hypo tri color hondos, and a pair of pinstripe annulata. I am also keeping a large group of Black phase mex-mex that I have been raising up, 8 Coffey line alterna, the hypo prarie king project and my son's Brewster county striped splendida. As for new stuff, I crossed over and started getting into ball python morphs. So even though I am cutting back, I will still have alot going on. And who knows, I flip-flop daily on whether to sell or not, it's almost brumation time, so that does cut back on alot of work. Then in March it starts all over !! Here's a pic of one of my black phase mex mex I am raising. Sorry it's a kingsnake...LOL.

Lol... your cutting back is still way beyond what I ever intend to have.

Even if it ain't a Milk snake that is one fine looking animal... really like that silver/grey color.

Jimmy, the Black phase I have came through Ryan Hoyer. I think most Black phase in collections are likely related,at least thats what I read( Mangini,Lemke,Hoyer ). But they propbably originated from Lemke and just refined over the years with line breeding. The Stuarts are F1 Costa Rican animals, from a place called Guancaste. I will FB you about animals for sale before I post them in the classifieds.
