Good Display monitors

cfoley Oct 06, 2003 11:48 AM

I have just freed up a large area in the basement, I would like to add an interesting display. I dont want something too far fetched, because I also have future breeding intentions. I dont want, however, something that will be hiding all of the time. I dont know how possible that is, being that monitors are typically secretive animals.
By no means do I want to mess with the natural intentions of an animal for my viewing interest....
I love niles, Ive owned nearly a dozen of them, they infact seem to be pretty much my greatest interest. Reality speaking though, I probably cant afford to house and feed an adult pair of Nile monitors. Just out of curiosity, what kind of space would it take for a breeding pair of nile monitors?
Any other helpful information towards the correct monitor for me would be appreciated. I have no problem going out and doing research, but this definitely can put me on the right track.

Thanks
Chris
