I have a male cal. king I've had for sixteen years. I just got a large female corn. I plan to breed them this spring. Should I just feed them real good then put them together?

After Brumation feed them both in separate containers before introduction. Males tend to eat less. I always feed before each introduction this way the kingsnakes (which are cannabalistic) are only interested in mating. I only leave them together for a few hours, some pairs overnight. My project for 2005 is Banana California King male to female Sinaloan and female Candy Cane Corn. The color schemes will be interesting along with the large size of Newport bloodline. Since I prefer to raise my snakes I feed them as much as they will eat before and after brumation. This allows for good calcium in eggs and less calcium depletion of laying females.
