What to buy?

loveofballz Oct 04, 2012 02:53 PM

I am a beginner in the hobby with a beautiful bright yellow '09 pastel female and want to eventually breed her. What would be a good (M) choice to pair her with? And what other morphs (M/F) should I look to purchase to build my collection?

Go with what you like.

its all about preference but if you have a female pastel i think the obvious choice is a male spider. Everybody likes Bumble Bees

Not everyone like them. Mostly due to the woble.
But bee looks ugly as adults also.

What's your budget?

loveofballz Oct 05, 2012 01:44 PM

I have no specific price range. I would rather have some quality animals (up to 2-3 gene morphs). Looking to start w/ 4-6 snakes and see how I do.

A vanilla cream male would be kinda pricey, but would make great combos with your pastel female.

I really suggest you to start getting into recessive.

But they are longer projects and you can easily start to stack some animals.
Its get worst when you work with double and triple recessives.

BUT JUST SO MUCH FUN !

Good luck.

Breed what you like you never be disapointed. I woulg get a male cinnabee to make pewter pewter bees bumblebees and singles of all the above or a spinner to make spinner blast lemon blast bumblebees spiders pins pastels an enchi something to make those combos or a kingpin there is a lot to do with 2 gene males cant really go wrong cause pastel makes everything better and you dont have to spend a ton of money. Just make sure you keep some back for the breeding seasons to come.
