A few milk photos.

terryd Oct 10, 2012 08:03 PM

I haven't posted in a long while, so thought I'd drop in a few milks photos for fun.

Cherry Co. NE., Pale milk.

Nice big adult Cherry Co.

A perfect ♀ in her prime. Cherry Co. NE.

Always enjoy showing off this Cherry Co. multilstrata.

I still have the Gorilla syspila, & she dropped a small clutch this year. Only two good eggs. Far cry from her 17 & 19 size clutches from years gone by.

Here is one of her offspring from a number of years ago. A sweet hypo ♂who has been bred to another hypo ♀for the last couple of years.

Here she is.

Their pairing has produced these screamer neonates.

Very nice wide band normal.

I've held off breeding this celaenops ♀because I've been to busy. But next year she's going to be paired with a male.

This ♂ who is much bigger now. I need to update his photo.

Hopefully I'll see a few of these from them.

Still working with Bighorn Co. Montana multistrata, and I'm seeing a few for sale in the classifieds from a few people that got started with F1's from a couple of years ago. It's nice to see the line still moving and being cared for.

Just started working with a new milk for me. L. t. campbelli, from Cole, aka Sunherp. Looking forward to working with this great line of locality Pueblan milk.

I took another trip to Mexico and will report on that in a few weeks. No milks this trip sorry.

But here's a teaser.
Mexican Coachwhip, Masticophis flagellum lineatulus.

Crotalus m. molossus

All for now....Dell

Nice stuff Dell as always! LOve your Cherrys dont know why you like the white headed ones, I always thought the red heads are better, but to each there own, if we all like the same type it would be difficult trading. Like your syspila too of course, and wow 19 thats an impressive clutch for syspila
did you have a good year triangulum finding wise?

terryd Oct 16, 2012 03:22 PM

Brandon my herping year went great. Milk hunting was pretty good, but not as good as some milk years past.
Brandon show me a redheaded multistrata and maybe you'll convince me red is better then white. Peace.

Wow!,.......what a killer assortment of sweet stuff there Dell!

Odd?....... I don't see any hobby Hondo or nelsoni influence in that Zapotitlan locale L.t.campbelli??..

You rock dude!!!

Wow, a bunch of nice milk snakes there. I really like those hypos, do you think the "Gorilla" female is at the end of her breeding run or are you going to keep trying for more eggs?

Great post as always Dell... I can see why you like showing of that Cherry Co. multistrata, it is one fine looking animal but...

Those celaenops (your pics 0056fHwy118TXcleaenops.jpg and 1722007Celeanops.jpg) are the real show stoppers imo... simply gorgeous!

Gerry

terryd Oct 16, 2012 03:35 PM

joecop Oct 16, 2012 07:57 PM

OMG Dell!!! That might just be my favorite animal you have posted. Pales are coming soon my friend. I am now definitely moving to Kansas.(already bought a house) Nebraska won't be far away!!! Any tips on moving a snake collection across the country???

Joe

terryd Oct 16, 2012 10:51 PM

Really Joe you're moving to Kansas? You're going to love it. Well the herpin anyway, the twisters not so much. I heard this crazy story about this girl and her little dog being picked up and well let me just say.....crazy.

-Dell

joecop Oct 17, 2012 07:42 PM

LOL..Dell, your killing me over here!!! Funny thing is we have had two twisters come down my street here in MD in as many years. Her folks have lived there forever and have never seen one!! I am sure they will follow me though.

RG Oct 24, 2012 08:32 AM

What the hell is that?

Twin spotted?

Where's the post man!!!!!

John Fraser Oct 13, 2012 11:07 AM

Excellant set of photos of great looking milksnakes, all very impressive! I guess I don't have a favorite, well maybe the high white cherry co. pale, a Killer looking snake! But then again, they all look primo, what else could a milkhead want? Even Dell looked quite content, sucking on his traditional stoogie, lol. Congrats, John

terryd Oct 16, 2012 03:56 PM

Hey John thanks for dropping in a comment, and glad you liked the shots. You are the milk aficionado. Tell Mike I gave him a shout out.

SunHerp Oct 13, 2012 04:44 PM

I'll give you the leaf it's sitting on. Ha.
Hey how did your perm turn out?

-Dell

gerryg Oct 17, 2012 04:57 PM

Perm? I'm hoping there's an inside joke here... as much as I like these little tidbits that give some insight to certain individuals... we may be boarding on more that I may want to know.

Gerry

terryd Oct 20, 2012 10:06 AM

It's a joke Gerry.
It can go like this, "Hey where's (insert friends name here, I'll use Cole) Cole, the game starts in 15 minutes."
"I don't know, getting his hair permed."

No guy gets their hair permed this days, well at least they shouldn't! Hence the joke and the teasing of his possible lose of manhood.

terryd Oct 16, 2012 03:42 PM

Jimmy thanks, again I'm glad to hear someone likes the celaenops. People seem to have forgotten about this milk subspecies.
