Scenting (photos)

I like to keep a few of these guys around for scenting. They are fun to watch scarf up crickets too.

This guy can't decide whether a green or brown body color suits him best. Imagine if you could change your color from white to black and vice versa.

Great picture.
How do you use him for scenting?
Step by step, assume I know nothing

I usually just attach a small piece of the anoles freshly shed skin to a pinkie and that does the trick. If none is available, holding the anole and letting him bite the pinkie's head has also been effective. The saliva must have some scent to it.

Ok great, I'll try that. Sounds a lot easier than minced anole with a cheese grater. lol

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do......lol

Sometimes the bite trick and shed skin does not work.....
The minced anole trick is a step that is after this.....lol

I've had my best luck just feeding lizards or lizard pieces to them then scenting with their lizard of choice....Many times it is not anoles for my kings.

It worked. I let the anole bite the face of the pinky several times. Put them in a small container and he ate the pinky. Thanks, you probable saved this little guys life. Thanks again.
