What is going on here?! (STRANGE change)

mrachelr Oct 13, 2012 11:48 AM

This is our '07 "normal" female, she laid us 6 nice eggs at the end of May. Here is a photo of her August 20, 2012. And the second set of photos is her today October 13, 2012, after two sheds. To us, she looks like a completely different snake. Her head is a couple shades lighter, and she looks as though she has been spattered with bleach (she of course has not been). Has anyone ever seen this happen? What explanation is there for this happening? There has been no change in feeding schedule, water, location, temperature etc. She has been in the same setup for a while.

she will eventually shed again and look like a"desert ghost" then after every shed she will gain more and more color, and look kind of paradox, but still be just a normal. Some say they are allergic to a certain bedding, or they havea reaction to ammonia build up, but its common, not rare.
