A little about me, I am 22 years old, haven't been into reptiles for too long, maybe a year or two. I am fortunate enough to breed all sorts of cyclura, spinytailed, green iguanas, and other animals for my boss. They are amazing creatures, but my favorite are boas! So my personal collection at the moment only consists of constrictors, and a few bearded dragons...
Should be interesting season for me... It's a little low budget, but it's a good start if you ask me! Will upload pictures when I get home! Might I start with a question...I hear 1.2 ratios can do poorly, what are your experiences with this ratio setting for BCC and BCI? Here's the lineup:
1.0 2010 Ghost 66% Sharp Male from Kyle Frost..figured for my first year, possible hets are okay. If they prove out, bonus!
I will be breeding him to:
0.1 2006 Jungle 100% Het Anery Female...purchased from BCI Joe, not sure of the breeder. They have already locked up once, but I am going to keep them at it. Hopefully I get some nice babies out of her.
Still need to purchase him a second mate, I am probably going to go with a plain Het Sharp just to see if he proves out. Like I said, it's a bonus, even though I've read het to het can be a low rate. I feel lucky
Next year I will try and prove him with a visual.
Next group:
1.0 2010 Motley 100% Het Sharp from Kyle frost
0.1 2008 Hypo Het Sharp from Ronald Ronquillo
0.1 2008 Hypo Jungle from Dan Wilson (If transaction goes well.)
And last group for the year:
1.0 2009 Hog Island Male
0.1 2008 Hog Island Female
0.1 2008 Reduced Pattern Hog Island Female (If transaction goes well.)
I hope I have a successful first year. I have some ideas for projects, but can't fund them, I'm sure that sounds familiar. Happy Mating!
