Vitamins and Calcium?

chikimonke Oct 06, 2003 01:30 PM

I've read many different care sheets, all seeming to contradict one another regarding vitamins and calcium. My leo is about 5 inches long, i'm guessing a couple months old, I feed him shake n' baked crickets every other day, and on the other days, give him mealworms in his calcium dish. The care sheets that I have looked at give conflicting info about how often vitamins should be given. Some say once a week, others say every other feeding. So basically, I was wondering if I may be giving my leo too many vitamins, not enough, or I'm good where I am? Just makin sure I keep my leo healthy. Thanks for your help.

I would offer calcium at all times in thier cage no matter what the age. But with their food. At that age I would do it every feeding, but after they get about 6 inches or so I would dust every other feeding. If they need more, they will lick up some calcium in their cage.
