Such a beautiful specimen of Boa . . . . gorgeous creamy orange with hints of goldish colors . . . .

I'd be willing to bet some money that the Pupil on that Boas eyes are deep dark red . . . . .

I still stick to my theory that Hog Isle Boas are a form of T positive type Boas . . . .

When bred into any project then in the next generation recrossed you end up with a very Light specimen of Boa
.

Was the breeding that created this Bloody Sunset a Hog Isle cross Boa Het Blood to another Hog Isle cross Boa Het Blood ?

If that's the case it would be the same as proving out a het to het breeding in a recessive T Positive bloodline . . .

That's why the "TRUE Sunset Boas" are so fantastically light & creamy colored . . .

That's why the Bloody Sunset type Boas become this this light beautiful creamy shade of orange . . . .

I stick to my belief that Hog Isle Boas or at least a large number of them ( Again probably all of them)
are a type of T Positive Boa.

That's a beautiful Boa just so beautiful !

Its interesting you should say that as I have a similar theory based on the Hogs being a type of hypo/super hypo!

The pairing that produced this litter was a hypo hog het blood x hypo hog het blood. The variety in the babies was amazing, adding to my theory about the Hog gene.

The differences between them in the individual post slough pics is very interesting!

Unbeleivably beautiful specimen. I'm too am curious as to how it was created. Also, how is it's temperment. One of the true joys of my sunsets is their docile nature. Did introducing the blood gene make for a fiestier boa?

marc_n Oct 19, 2012 04:49 PM

Thanks! They were produced from a hypo hog het blood x hypo hog het blood. Heres a pic of the sire when he was younger ...

The whole litter are very docile. In fact far too docile for my liking, they have been a real pain to get feeding!

Great looking snake. The eyes in the hog island blood boa crosses have such a destinct look. I think the possible hets in hog island blood crosses can be predicted to be hets in the much more colorful babies with a good amount of confidence. You certainly scored with this project.
