OT - Rodent shortage?

Denbar Oct 18, 2012 11:26 AM

Whats causing the apparent rodent shortage that seems to be going on? I see a lot of the big companies are running weeks or months behind on orders.

Going to be in need of pinkies soon if all goes well... just had a look at the major suppliers... looks as if Layne Labs is the best bet or take JY's advice and raise up a few.

Thanks again

Could be problems due to Rodent Pro's big kill off of potential diseased rodents. Not sure what else could be going on. I heard RP has raised their prices. They lost enough customers due to what happened and are just running more customers off with higher prices then they used to have.

I ordered from Layne Labs a few weeks ago. Their website said 14 days lead time only took 7. Mice were well packed and looked real good, but a little smaller than what I expected so next time I'll order the next size up.

I received my second order from Layne Labs in the past six months and I'm very impressed. Very clean rodents, expertly packed. When I placed the order they said it would take about weeks to fill and it worked exactly as they said.
