if Jamaica (my brown) ever lays eggs, and I don't find them right away, what is the possibility of my green anoles eating them? If so, how big before they would recognize them as lizards?

Well, I noticed my hatchlings hanging out with adults possibly some hours after it hatched. But luckily, the adults weren't hungry, so she remained alive. In case the adults get a taste of cannibalism, I removed the hatching into a small cage. But since nearly everyone says hatchlings are likely to be eaten by adults, I guess the chance's about 50/50. It mostly depends on whether your anoles are hungry or not. But like all others, I suggest that if you get to have a hatchling, seperate it before it's gone.

Also, I don't think it's so much a matter of them recognizing them as lizards, as it is the little ones getting too big to eat!

I never see adult browns eating hatchling browns even when they pass out in front of them where I live... however, they're very well fed!

I would still assume that there's a great risk of it and that no lizard would stop and think twice if they had the urge. I also read that brown anoles often eat green hatchlings, so the problem goes both ways.

Anyway, just separate the eggs or put a cup over them so that the adults can't get to the hatchlings when they hatch and you can move them yourself, just to make sure
