Has anyone ever bred a Northern Pine with a Red Bull snake? What do you think it would look like?
WOULD LOOK LIKE A CROSS BRED MUTT WHICH WOULD POLLUTE PURE ANIMALS DOWN THE LINE AS IT'S PROGENY DRIFTED OFF INTO THE BLACK HOLE OF LOW DOLLAR PETS IN DELI-CUPS
It will look like something that didn't need to happen to begin with.
The selfish act of hybridization perverts pure lines that have had years of hard work from the breeders that cared about preserving such animals in captivity.
There is no logical reason to do such a thing.

You mean simply "because they can" isn't a good enough reason?...
Sort of like how the hell does a circus sideshow freak ever find out he can actually hammer a 10 inch long steel rod all the way up his nose without doing any harm..LOL!

Like they say on the hybrid forum:

Similar to a Louisiana Pine Snake.
There. So now you know. No reason to go any further.

It may be good to know that similar results can be achieved just by crossing a Red Bullsnake to a Kankakee Bullsnake. Perhaps not the greatest idea still, but at least you'll end up with Bullsnakes, probably good looking ones as well.

The offspring of most crosses never look as clean or nice as the parents. Crossing the red bull and the northern may sound like a good idea, but it is not. Instead of accenting the best pattern and coloration of the parents, the resulting babies would be pretty muddy and indistinct. Not to mention genetically screwed up. It would be a lot more interesting to breed northerns to northerns. Really, is there any North American snake any cooler than a big black and white northern?
Well thanks for all the comments. I was just curious what yall though. The reason i am asking is i bought two snakes from a guy. he said they were sold as a breeding pair and had recently locked tails when i met him and picked up the snake i immediately noticed an issue. he opened the bin and i looked at him and said" thats a bull snake and a pine snake and those are not supposed to breed. " he said "well thats not what i was told" so i love pine snakes and bull snakes so i bought them anyhow. SOOO long story short she laid eggs and i was curious so i incubated them. They should hatch here very soon and no these wouldnt be sold as pets to anyone so no crossing of blood lines and mix up the population thats out there. I was more curious to see if anyone has ever done that. I know they do it with corns and kings so i wasnt sure.
So you're going to keep all of them? Right...
But to answer your question, yes it has been done dozens (if not hundreds) of times before, and by now it's safe to say that nothing worthwile ever came out of it.

Lol okay well thanks guys. I only incubated them because i was curious. Yes i am going to keep them i would like to think i am a better pet owner to keep them
There seem to be quite a few "pinbulls" in the UK (considering pits in general are not considered to be "in vogue" at the moment)
They tend to either look like watered down bulls, or just large, drab brown snakes that may or may not have some partial striping.
Not a patch on either of their parents to be honest!
Okay so they hatched today!!! So i took some pics. The first pic is a normal northern Pine het for albino.

here are some of the babies The one who is fully out and visible has alot of really nice salmon coloring.

And here is a side view

Here is a front view of the face. Almost looks yellowish green

and here is one thats hanging out of the egg. I still have one other egg that he keeps pocking out of but has yet to really appear
