Strange nasal discharge

wvkingsnake Oct 22, 2012 08:26 PM

Hello All, One of my Florida Kings has a strange nasal discharge. I only once saw this discharge on her face, (it is like almost dry rubber glue), but it is present on the inside top of her hide so I suspect she is rubbing her nose on the inside of the hide. Her overall health is excellent with a typical Fla King appetite. My first guess would be a respiratory infection but the discharge is so strange and different. Breathing is fine. Has anyone else seen discharge like what I have described ? Thanks.

Hard to say. What substrate? Sometimes wood dust can do it. Try newspaper as a substrate and see if it goes away. Sometimes before a shed snakes can get like that too.
