Silly color ads.

I like to look theough the classifieds every now and then to see what is out there, it seems to get worse and worse with the silly names and color stuff. There are candy cane, ember, flame this and that and crosses with a pedegree of 4 silly names. 90% of these dragons are brown with a smattering of orange/red color and all look mostly the same. if you are going to tag your dragons with a flamboyant name they should look it. Not just these mediocre dragons with droplets of water falling off them in all thier brown glory. I would love to see some pictures of truly colorful dragons on a white background (keeps the photoshop guys honest).

they had cotton candy last year, very interesting.. a flashy name i suppose helps to sell a dragon, its not a color phase perhaps it could be a "morph" of a particular color phase, such as sandfire (from sandfire dragon ranch) is to me a type of red or orange phase dragon. Really you are looking at either something that is normal, red, orange, yellow, gold phase etc. letting the people know the bloodlines is a good thing, for example, jersey dragon red (chris allens reds) X dragon dens blood (kevin Dunnes blood dragons) this at least lets the buyer know where the parents came from and helps breeders choose dragons that arent going to be closely related (hopefully) but yes, some of those crazy names are well.. just crazy.. some dragons do take on the names of the breeders using Chris allen as an example again, his dragons are and were so outstanding that they took on "jersey dragon red" all on their own. anyhow i ramble, i guess no one wants just regular red phase or orange phase or well normal dragons anymore, they have to have a flashy name tag to go along with it hehe.. ah guess it dont matter, brown, red, emberjemrubyfire, or yellowlightningwizardspire, i love em all the same

When I post my dragons I post them as what the parents were.......for example if the father is a redflame/sandfire and mom is a sunburst I would then label the babies as redflame/sandfire x sunbursts. In my own opinion it may seem like a long fancy name, but the people purchasing that dragon will know what the crosses actually were that went into the dragon instead of making them into some "new" name. If I were to take that same baby and call it say an orange baby or cherry red, or whatever someone may not know what the actual dragon is a cross of.........so it kind of helps in the long run for people that want to prevent breeding similiar crosses.........just to keep everything diversified. My opinion though.
