NOM! NOM! NOM!
Reminds me of a funny story. I recently bought a winter's supply of oak firewood from a local man and his wife, who helps him unload, open gates, ect. She is so afraid of snakes the meer mention of them causes her to shake and literally turn blue with fright. When I was stacking the last cord I found a big snake skin; looked to be a gopher snake. I will never mention this to her as that might be the end of her assisting her husband!

So shes helping her husband and sees that snake, dies of fright, will it be his fault or yours? Just wondering

It would be his fault because the skin came with the firewood. Although if a lawyer got involved it would be the State of California's fault for having snakes in the first place, and deep pockets for a law suit.

Well theres two sides to lawyers, if the other side was envolved, Your responsible because you are the last person that could have prevented this tragic event

In civil court, its not about proof or direct responsibility, its much wider then that. You could have prevented it. Maybe, possible, etc

You may not be guilty, so your punitive judgement would only be a few million dollars. Smile and pay, it could have been worse. Don't forget humor.

If I post signs on my property forbidding anyone with a snake phobia from stepping foot onto my property, maybe that would help.
