What to use for substrate?

Could I use astroturf from Home Depot? How about regular carpet remnants? Thanks for any help.

I would not suggest it...to hard to keep clean.

Yea....think about it.....the defecates add up to the same size as an adult Herpeologist's...the urates the same....

aspen or cypress(if you can find it)....if these are too dirty for your situation.....just use newspaper.....it works....

I use newspapers. Works fine...but then, some people want a more "natural looking" substrate

I've been using newspaper exclusively now for over 10 years without any problems. It may not be pretty but it's abundant, cheap and can be replaced when soiled easily. Give it a try.
