Does anyone know of a vet in Northwest ohio.

soak it in lukewarm sugar water for an hour or so, that should help draw out some of the fluid. the tissue has become detached from the inner wall of the snakes body cavity. I use a big probe and very hold the snake upside down so all the guts shift down (forward) ... VERY GENTLY manipulate the tissue back in the snake. sometimes its nice to do this by the sing and you can use some lukewarm water to aid you in getting the tissue back in.

Once you get it inside the snake you need to put it back into a clean cage with newspaper or paper towel substrate. Keep it clean and well hydrated and don't offer food for at least a month. When you do, it should be half the size you'd normally feed it. This snake may have the chance to prolapse for the rest of its life.

I'm not a vet, I've put prolapses back where they are supposed to go in baby chondros all the way to adult retics. Just personal experience.

if you leave the snake in the sugar water it usually goes back on its own. if you take it to a vet they will suture off the prolapse and cut it off. you want to avoid that if possible
