What kind are these?

These little turtles(see pics) were found in and around a slow moving creek in a heavily wooded area in north Texas. Discovered while gathering data on a. contortrix(copperheads). The turtles i'm trying to identify are a elongated shape, have plain(no markings) plastron and large fat heads. The heads are more of a light grey color and the faint stripes are almost white. The lower jaws are white. They are good size for thie species, 6" front to back. I own a pair of s. odoratus and these new guys only resemble mine in that they have the chin barbels and thier plastron is very small and narrow.
My best guess is that they are very old stinkpots. Am i right? Or could these guys be hybrids of some sort?http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/not_oregano/lst?.dir=/Sternotherus&.view=t

okay this has been bothering me. the link oyu sent shoe two differnt turtles . the first one (in upper left pic) looks like a carinatus or a minor. (but i can't see the plastron well enough to count the scutes) The other turtle looks like a stinkpot. Why did you think one of these was a hybrid? I am confused.

sorry,
the top photos are of turtles that I'm trying to identify, the last picture is of a stinkpot i own, for comparison.
found in Dallas county, in the trinty river flood plain area.
Thanks.

I'd go with S. oderatus. The only other musk turtle in N. Texas is the razorback musk which looks considerably different.

What is the nearest city/town?
