I was just wondering with these "PYTHON BANS" do they take into consideration the fact that BOAS do not even get to half the size of the retics/burms/rocks and do not share a lot of the characteristics that they have when they present to officials/go to hearings/etc.??? and that they are not as prolific breeders as the pythons??? I am not trying to just single out and protect just one of the species that is getting put on these lists as I think none of them should be listed, but I think its important that these officials/"rule makers" understand that "boa constrictor" is being used as a generic term and "lumped" together with other species that get way larger and have other characteristics that boas do not have. Once again, I am not trying to say that we should just concentrate on just one of the species but i do think its really important that it gets pointed out as it could at least help get the attention off of boa constrictors. If it is already getting pointed out then that is a great thing and i hope they continue to do so, I just never really hear anything about it. Just my thoughts and i also might not be fully informed, so please do not take it too personally if you do not agree - ;0)....
Thanks
