Investment Ball Pythons?

ChicagoSnakeMan Nov 25, 2012 09:17 AM

I've been reading this forum for a while, but never posted. I'm wondering what you all think the best morph or line would be to get into breeding for investment gain in the future?

There are alot of balls out there, where do you think the money is?

Ghi combos are looking especially good IMO.

Trick maybe, I dunno, not a fan yet.

Puzzle possibly?

Color was king -- pattern may now be on the ascendancy.

Buy what you like, is what most of this forum's feedback has always been.

Maybe tempered with "and can afford"?

Good luck!

I would say buy what you like to look at. It would suck to have a rack full of babies that are not selling that you hate to look at daily, when you clean all of those tubs.

I think the Tri Stripe would be my starting point if I was just getting into Balls. The Puzzle is not a bad morph to start off with either, depending on funds. If I was starting out today, I might pick a main morph, say the Tri Stripe, and build around it. Get some Pastel Het Tri Stripes, make some Tri Stripe colored morphs, and finally add it to some other pattern morphs.

I would say stay away from Spiders, the wobble, Caramels, the kinking, and Deserts....

Personally, if I had $50K kicking around, I would snag the only pair of het sunsets available.
Brand new recessive and as far as I know, only BHB has it.

Recessive genes are the key to the future, there sure are lots of new co-doms every year but these are prostituted and run down to the ground as far as ROI goes...

Co-doms with recessive genes, harder to produce and holding on value over time...

I would brag for my friends at Regius.Co

But the enchancer is just where I would go if I could.
