Captive raised ants?

Monkeyman Oct 06, 2003 05:20 PM

Does anyone here raise ants as food for their frogs? If so, which species do you use and how do you raise them? If not, then why? If they are the staple diet of frogs in the wild, why not try to reproduce that diet?

Thanks,
Mike

hi,
i have thought of cultureing ants before, but the problem is that you would have to get a queen. I haven't heard of anyone trying this, but if i were gonna try to culture ants, i would just go ahead and try to culture termites. If someone could culture them, they would have the best food source ever.
