I asked the same question and I was told about 9 months to reach around 6 inches.

There are some 8 month old leucistics, or the pet store says they are 8 months old, and are about 4 inches long. I need them to be 6 inches by September first. Is this possible to do. I really want to get her, but I can't if she won't be big enough, because I can only have one tank, and I cant put her in with the others when she is so much smaller because it's not healthy for her, they will stress her out.

I'd stay away from those if they really are that old considering they're 3 or more when they hatch. At 8 months they should be nearly full grown, maybe not quite as fat as older leos, but definately almost as long.
Either somethings not quite right or they don't know how old they really are.
hope this helps

I don't think they are 8 months old. I got the leucistic yesterday, and she is so sweet, doesn't hiss or bit. She is very active and goes right after food. I am sure she is younger than 8 months. I have an 8 month old leo who is about 6 inches, so the leucistic cant' be 8 months. The guy at the pet store just took a wild guess. He even said he wasn't sure. She is about 4 or 4 1/2 inches right now. She's a beautiful one. Thanks for the advice.
