I've seen many small males breed big females...
Tried it...he was only in her cage for not even a day and he got crushed.
Any suggestions? I don't feel comfortable doing this anymore in the future...

Yes it can happen. I had a 55 lbs BCI female crush a 12 lbs BCI males head years ago and kill him. The bad thing was she did it when I was gone on vacation for two week. He was in with her for about one week before I left and all was fine. I believe she killed him one or two day after I left. He was dead on the heat mat side of the cage. I smelled him before I even opened the door to my home. Took me about 1 to 2 weeks to get the smell out of my home.
I only breed males and females that are about the same size together. Doing this I have had better luck with female having babies instead of slugs to. Most of my breeding females are around 18 to 20 lbs. I also no longer breed females that are over 40 lbs. As it's not healthily for obese boas to breed.
Take care
Tom
