I've had my red tail for a couple months now and just recently I noticed some gunk near the bottom if her left eye. I was wondering what might possibly be wrong and what I should do.
Thanks.

Her eyes look really swollen like she may have mites. Have you thoroughly checked her out for them?

Only time I ever noticed a Boa with gunk in the Eye was when those Boas had snake mites . . .
You better make sure your Boa doesn't have snake mites

She has a few on here that I just noticed and when I put her in the tub i saw quite a bit more. One of my ball pythons had mites but the method we used didn't work. What would you suggest.
I bought the pet store stuff, cleaned the tank, use all new bedding, sprayed everything down with the mite-off stuff along with my snakes, and put everything back but it didn't work.
I'd recommend either finding a bottle of Provent-a-Mite (I use this consistently when rescues or new reptiles come in), or look up the Nix method for snake mites.

Order Prevent a Mite from the Bean Farm or someone close to you. They can get it to you in a day or two depending on where you are at. It works amazing and its time released for 30 days so you just retreat monthly to keep from ever having issues with them. Its around 20 a can. You just clean out their cage, put in new bedding, spray around a barrier just above where the top of the shaving is and then lightly spray the bedding. It doesnt make of the stuff and complete eradication follows. Its amazing stuff. Hope this helps.

And the zoo med mite off, is like misting them with water. it does not work. it may kill a couple but like 1% compared to 100% with PAM.
