SOFT BELLIES ON BABY BOAS???HELP!

reptimals Dec 30, 2012 01:06 PM

Hello, I was going to get some smaller boas(4-8 months old)from someone locally and noticed that some of them had really soft bellies. The bellies look really chubby and are kind of limp, maybe even have gas in them??? They eat their meals but their stomachs worried me. Any idea what causes that???? is there a way to get the bellies back to normal??? THANKS!!!

Unless these are one of a kind, can't let this opportunity pass, type of animals, I'd say don't buy them. If you see animals that cause you concern, why take chances? There is a glut of normal and more common morph babies out there. There's no reason to take chances on anything that doesn't justify the risk.

It may be nothing. They may be mid-digestion. Who knows, but why take chances of bringing something unhealthy into your collection?
