Thanks Ross....
That White Leonis is sure holding onto it's white color well. Most of them speckle out to gray or buckskin with age.
I still need a suitable female for him one day.

THat last one looks exactly like a pyro/greeri cross. even to that neck marking.
Not saying it is, but it is JUST like one.
Oh about 35 years ago we had these genotype/phenotype conversations. I brought up the point that you could produce any type montane king, by inbreeding. Down in the center of that onion you/we call genotype is a common ancestor and all the steps that get to current. Just some thoughts.
Really nice snakes, cheers

Thanks and I agree Frank......it is the result of line breeding and not hybridizing.....Robert Hansen produced this male. I produced the Mex Mex duo...
One could also produce different phenotypes by hybridizing too.
I've seen a few leonis looking animals that were the result of breeding a ruthveni to a mex mex. It somewhat supports Blody's and other's "south to north" genetic flow theory. Ruthveni being farthest south bred to a mex mex from just north of ruthveni producing a leonis that is found just north of mex mex....
