Butters and Lessers

ohernz Jan 18, 2013 05:21 AM

This probably has been asked before, but now that I wave acquired a pair of butters, I'd like to know...
What's the difference between lessers and butters? Are they the same morph? Do their combinations with other morphs come out looking the same? To me Lesser Bees and Butter Bees look very similar. How about other morphs?

Well, to be honest with you, yes this question has been asked before. LoL. I asked that question back in 2010 and I am sure it has been asked a few times since then. The answer I received was that some people think they are different and some people think they are the same throughout the ball python comunity. Personaly I think they look pretty much the same. I mean there are minute differences you can se between the two. However, if I were to buy a "Butter" I would sell it as a "Butter".

Good answer! it is what I think too...As I said, I now have a pair of Butters, when I purchase Lessers, it will be from a reputable breeder and I am planning on keeping the two lines separated.
Thanks!
