Looks like this feb may shape up to be like the last one. HOT! Temps already hitting 75 here in houston. Just wondering if anyone out there is close to warming things back up and resume feeding.

I don't use any external heat source here in FLA, and we've had a pretty warm winter with bouts of cooler temps. When the snakes are awake, I will feed them (which I did up until last week). When it cools down, like now, and they bury themselves, I let them be.

We had a good 4 weeks straight of cool weather, with a couple exceptions... when do you start making introductions? Late feb or march?

It isn't a set month or date...When the female is ovulating is when you should pair them up. This is typically after a pre ovulation shed, but some ovulate prior to this shed or wait until a second shed.....

And I cannot go by temps outside to judge a brumation period. I typically want my snakes to be cooled for 12 weeks or so and I have to force cool them as I live in South Texas and it doesn't get all that cold for any period of time......lol
