All spiders wobble some. Some more than others. Some are extreme and will crawl upside down and others may twitch a little and tilt head just before striking. It's something tied in with the mutation and no way of breeding it out. Watch out for those breeders selling "wobble free" spiders. They are lying to you or are just not paying that much attention to their snakes. With that said, I love my spiders and will continue to breed them and their combos.

Let me ask a question.
If doctors could genetically determine what your baby would look like, would you choose to make them incredibly beautiful but it would mean they would have a neurological disorder that made them twitch uncontrolably, would you do it? I wouldn't. I've had a spider and a bee and I would never breed either one or buy another one. Yes they are beautiful but we don't know what they are going through when then wobble.
For this same reason, I choose not to work with Carmels(kinks), Super cinnamons(kinks and duckbilling), nor Deserts(female reproduction issues).
I know not all of these have the same problems but they are prone to them.
These are genetic defects and I personally don't think they should be passed on.
This is only my opinion and I know most will disagree but it is my opinion.
I actually respect your decision but you must realize that all the morphs we work with are in fact genetic anomalies. We don't know exactly what changing the color and pattern is doing on the cellular level on any of the morphs we work with. We must make our own decisions on what we feel is right for us and the animals we work with. The fact is the first spiders that were created came from a wild caught gravid normal female that laid her eggs over here and out hatched 4 spiders. This means that somewhere in Africa a spider male lived to maturity and bred at least one female over there that was imported to this country. Most spiders wobble very little but some do "corkscrew". Most super cinny/black pastel's have little to no deformity to their snout or have kinks but some are severe. Champagnes are known to have some wobble but nobody talks trash about them. Several other morphs are known to be poor feeders/growers but we still breed them.

That's interesting to know about spiders. I still choose not to breed them or other morphs prone to genetic defects. I guess technically Alninism is a genetic "defect" that would endanger a wild individual. Same with leucistic. I just don't want to produce physically defective animals personally. If other want to that's fine. Just not for me.
Thanks for the respnse.
The spiders should have never been bred.
I cannot even believe that gene to have survived in the wild. But no matter what, when it affects the neurological and health of an animal, it's really bad.
If it wasn't for the money, NERD probably wouldn't have sold any. I know he didn't thought it was directly linked, but even so.
Now it's probably too late...... unfortunately.....

love this world, don't hate it.
Their health is very good. They eat great, grow great, don't get sick just like other ball pythons if husbandry is correct. Most get a little "quirky" when feeding, a very few are extreme. Just because you choose not to keep them does not mean you have a right to down other keepers for breeding these awesome looking animals. Using your rational no dog breeders should ever breed "large breed" dogs because of hip problems, now that does have a affect on the animals way of life. Also all police departments that use these dogs should also be degraded as well correct?
