Just got back home with a very Beautiful female Timorensis to bring my duo to a trio! Lets hope the introduction ends up going well! This female is actually as big and bulky as my male so maybe well see some big chunky babies this coming year!

Good for you, Michelle. I'll be the first to buy your babies. So I get to pick. Hehe! How's your BT doing, btw?

My new Timor looks like those leopard patterend ones from Central Coast (Terry Lilley). Ive been eyeing her for about a month now. I gotta say this about her. When she grips ya, she does more damage than a nile her size! I was bleeding profusely after holding her the first time! Thats something niether my male nor first female ever did! Now that I think about it, shes the first Timor to ever bite me! I love her though!

My baby Hewey(my BT) is still about the same. Sometimes I think hes looking perkier, but most of the time hes just laying around. He eyed a mouse today, but didnt attempt to eat it. They had to send out the fecal for the Crypto test, so I wont get the results back until mid-morning tomorrow. My friends from Reptile Outlet(one of the few very good herp stores) suggested that I look into Newcastles deasese, because she had heard a local vet mention of it being transfered from foul to monitors, specifically African Grassland monitors. And my BT didnt exhibit any signs of illness until after I began getting chickens. -Live chickens. Maybe just a coincidence, but not something Im going to disregard with researching.

All the best!

The kisar timors do not come in often and are not easy to acquire. If you did get lucky enough to get one hold onto it they are almost never available and are very pricey. More then likely yours is just a nice looking timor though rather then being from Kisar itself.

Newcastle has been around for a long time and it is a bird disease more so then reptile but they can get it from consuming birds. There has also been a scare of poultry with it this year too. However there are alot of use feeding poultry to our animals me included so I am sure all of my animals would of succomed to it by now rather then it targeting certain animals.
Now in your case if you only feed chicks to that one monitor it is more believable that could be the cause. There are many things it could be so just wait it out and let the vet do his thing. otherwise you'll just be bombarded with different theories that it could be this that or this. I think you have your fingers in the right places now so let the vet take over and see if he can hoose which finger is pointing in the right direction.

Then you should see somr etraces of something in his digestive tract which may still shoe some elements if the chick was carrying anything??

In my case I feed chicks and chickens to everything so if that caused it in my BT's then all of my reptiles should be deceased. That would be monitors, snakes, and other lizards.

My Timor has gotten me and my vet. The vet just bled a lot, I got a hole through my thumbnail. I guess it's sort of nice to know that all monitors of that size can't bite that hard!

Peter: It's OK, I'll handle it. I read a book about something like this.
Brian: Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't NOTHING?
