Desert Rays Radiant Heat Panels

DeltaWoods Oct 06, 2003 08:19 PM

Does anyone know anything about Desert Rays Radiant Heat Panels? I just got my new boaphile plastics tank with installed flex watt but i am having trouble getting the temps in the tank above 85(the room temp is only 70 and cannot be increased) so i need some extra heat. I have heard that the radiant heat panels were an option. Does anyone have any experience with this product or any advice concerning it. Thanks.
heres a link to the product http://www.bigappleherp.com/Reptile_Supplies/Product/Desert_Rays_Radiant_Heat_Panels_118100.html

I don't use big apple's brand, but have successfully used radiant heat panels for almost two years now. They work great - very thick heat and surface doesn't get hot enough to burn. Make sure you have a rheostat to control output, and you'll be fine. If you do an internet search, you should be able to vind vendors for significantly less.

Hope this helps.
