Blizzard-Lizard May 27, 2003 02:37 PM

Hi all,
I am interested in getting my first reptile and I was thinking of getting a green anole. Is this a good idea? I am 15yrs old and will be able to look mist its viv and feed it when needed. I can spend around £200 in getting it.
Thanks

I myself would start out with a bearded dragon. Green anoles need alot of fresh food and wild caught food. They are finicky and die quickly or loose weight. Unless you live in a place that has them wild and you have had experience with them I wouldnt suggest it. You really cant handle them and they take alot of care. Check out a bearded dragon.. they are tougher and you can handle them and they look really neat. They can become tame and actually friendly and you can hand feed them. Good luck with your choice
