Shedding issues

I bought a reverse striped kingsnake from a college kid that couldn't keep it anymore. The kid didn't have any gauges for temp or humidity and said the snake shed the week prior to me buying it.
The snake didn't shed properly while he had it. The snake was soaking itself in it's water bowl, but there's still pieces of old wrinkled skin on the snake. It just a patch or two, not hurting circulation or anything. Its been about 3 weeks now. Should it just come off next shed?

Given the proper facilities; i.e. a moist sphagnum moss hide (moist paper towels work fine, too) he should shed the rest of the old shed with the next shed just fine. Winter air indoors tends to be very drying. I heat with a wood stove which dries out the indoors but the snakes all have the option of going in their moist hides, whether in brumation or awake.
