Tomorrow I'm picking up a cinnamon female that is supposed to lay eggs within the next few weeks. She weighs 2600 grams. She weighed 2100 when she began breeding. How many eggs do u think she will have?

There's really no way of knowing unless you're using an ultrasound, but I hope she gives you a big clutch.
Let us know how it goes
Best of luck!!

I would have to disagree with John. Palpate her, and you will know exactly how many eggs and slugs she will lay. Although palpating nor ultra-sounding will tell you if the eggs are viable or not. You will have to determine that after they are laid.
Her age can play a big factor in that as well, also how many times she has laid in the past and how often. As others have said, a typical clutch from a female that size would typically lay between 7 and 9 eggs.

With all due respect, we can't assume that the OP will know how to palpate the female, nor would I advise he attempt it so close to her laying a clutch. Also, depending on how close she actually is to laying, palpating may not yield an accurate result...primarily because the eggs are close together and there may not be noticeable separations between the eggs. An ultrasound may not show if the eggs are viable, but it would be a safe way to get an egg count. My advice would be to wait her out. Hopefully you'll get some nice eggs.
Predicting clutch sizes based on a females age/weight is not predictable as they are highly variable. We can't speak in absolutes or even generalities here because their are tons of larger females that may throw 4-6 eggs just like a 1500 gram, first year female.
Thanks,
John

With better odds than number of eggs I can tell you that her clutch will likely weigh about 867 grams. Female ball pythons generally lay about 1/3 of their pre-lay weight. The bigger variable will be how big the average egg is and hence how many there will be. If she lays 120 gram eggs you might only get 7, if they average 85 grams you could get 10. I'm guessing 8.

1 slug, 3 boob eggs, 2 live without the egg ready to eat med rats, one window egg, a chicken egg , 3 new morphs , and ...thats it
cause she isnt pregnant....
or she will have 6 worth $50 each...well done!!!
When I first started breeding Ball Pythons in 2007, I started counting how many clutches that I'd get by the locks that were occurring. Because only humans, dolphins and chimps have sex for recreational purposes right? Err quickly found out although I'm sure not for recreational purposes that lots of females of age, of size that were bred, simply didn't go. After all that, I'm guessing 8 eggs.
