How much should I be feeding him?

khalliaar Oct 06, 2003 11:29 PM

I have a baby ball hatched on may 19th. He is from 18.5-20 inches in length and I don't know the weight. The store I got him at was feeding him 2 large fuzzies/ small hoppers at least one a week. From what I have read here that is not enough. I was wondering how much I should be feeding him (I feed about once every 5-6 days). I can't get my hands on rats (except for large adults) and any general idea would be helpful.

Thanks

Try harder to get your hands on rats. Mice are garbage in my opinion, you'll get a stunted ball, regardless of how many mice you feed it. I would stick to a feeding schedule of every 5 days, but offer him a second rat. If he's hungry, he'll eat it. If he is full, he will not eat it.

show me some proof that a BP will become stunted if you feed him mice all his life? my friend has one thats been on mice all its life. and at 4 1/2 feet, it doesnt look stunted to me.
