When and how do you recomend swiching a garter to mice? They dont eat mice in the wild do they? If so how do they fend off a painfull bite?

Some west coast species eat mice regularly. But we are talking pinkie mice not full adult mice. You can switch when the snake is as thick as the pinkie you are offering.Just rinse off the pink with water and scent it with whatever you normally feed your snake.
