Albino hog feeding pics

FR Mar 26, 2013 10:07 AM

This little girl is feeding on an unscented fuzzie.

When we obtained her, she refused to feed. I even offerred green toads, red spotted toads, and of course scented pinks. Both her and her brother refused.

We tried tuna juice to scent with and they both fed. In a short period, after they gained some bulk and strenght, they both attack live rodents.

Whats often overlooked is behavior, sometimes its more about behavior then anything else.

While scenting is fun and something for the keeper to do, if left in good conditions, the snakes feed anyway. If they are healthy to start with.

With our mexican hogs, a couple started with scented rodents, some pounded rodents right off.

Heres a pic of a local snake, a really nice green rat. Its a female, and the females are out and about now. Cheers

What a sweet little guy! I've got an orange albino too, with a great pattern but yours has a much nicer color scheme.

I love yellow albinos too, next on my male list after a conda
