Do you think all the goings on did it or is Facebook the new/better medium?

I think it had more to do with facebook popularity. Once they started making pages over there dedicated to certain snakes, others started their own pages and now its at full swing. I've got a lot of new friend requests since this happened. A lot of people are getting to know new people that never posted on the forums. I've come across a lot of new Cal king keepers I never knew about.

I have been avoiding Facebook because I think it is creepy how it tries to connect you with every damn thing whether or not you want that. Color me paranoid, I guess.

Yes, I've been reluctant too Bob. Not quite sure of my reasons. I'm sure like anything else its got its good and bad points.

Must be your computer settings. FB does not do that to me.

I think it is my mind settings more than my computer settings.

Social network sites make me want to go hide...

Yep,...all depends on the settings and information you chose to provide when setting it up. You can be as open or as discrete as you want. And of course you can change certain things as you go to suite your desires as you see fit.
