I've had 3 females lay eggs 6 weeks apart. The first clutch will usually be 100 percent fertile and the second is less so, but still mostly fertile. Then I give them as much time off as you want, as they will no longer be carrying eggs or sperm, and you can mate them again when ready. Reducing food intake is only gonna change anything if you do it before the mating and maybe a few days after.... One they mating has happened, the eggs that are there are going to be developing already and slowing food intake at that point isn't gonna reduce the number of eggs. I feed my gravid girls quite a bit, and concentrate on healthy crickets and insects. The health of the female is completely related to the health of the eggs and babies. Gravid females in your collection should be your number 1 priority.
